Llandudno 12 - Caernarfon 44

It was a man of the match performance from the Cofi 10 Guto Pierce kicking 5 out of 5 conversions and 3 from 3 penalties to give him a points tally of 19.
On a fine sunny afternoon at Maesdu Road it was the Cofis who struck first with captain Iolo Huws crossing under the posts and Pierce converting, 7-0, and he added a penalty soon after to make it 10-0. Rhys Evans scored the next try following some good interplay between backs and forwards with the youthful 8 going over under the posts, Pierce duly converted, 17-0. With only minutes until half time it was the home side that scored next following a driving maul, Bobby Lee Davies being awarded the try, leaving the half time score 17-5.
The second half saw the Cofis taking control of the proceedings, breaking through the home defence on numerous occasions, scoring 3 more tries, with Iolo Huws scoring his second followed by a brace by Carwyn Roberts, with Pierce converting all 3 and adding 2 more penalties.
In between Llandudno did score another try through Dave Davies converted by Ryan Pike to make the final score 12-44.
Next up for the Cofis is another away visit this Saturday at Rhuthin, let's hope for more of the same.
