Llangefni vs Caernarfon

Llangefni were hoping to maintain their 100% record at home this afternoon and the Cofis still smarting from last weeks narrow loss to Pwllheli, both sets of supporters were looking forward to an exciting game in perfect conditions.
It was the home side that secured the first points with Rhys Hughes securing 3 points from a penalty.
The Cofi pack were dominant in both set pieces and it was not long before no 8 Mac Jones charged through from the home sides 22m to score a try, Aled Jones converting. However within a few minutes the home side were back in front following a break by full back Greg Horsman, with Hughes converting to make the score 10-7.
With the Cofi pack securing good ball for the backs they were attacking at will and when the ball was fed out wide to speedy winger Dylan Gwyn to cross over in the corner and a fine touch line conversion from Aled Jones to make the half time score 14-10.
The second half started brightly for the Cofis with some sterling work by second row Rhys Thomas and flanker Derfel Thomas in the loose providing quick ball for scrum half Mike Downey to release Dylan Gwyn who then darted through and passed the ball to full back Ellis Roberts to score with Jones adding the extras-21-10.
With the home side set in the Cofi 22 an interception by full back Roberts allowed him a clear run for the posts and Jones converting to make it 28-10.
At this point with only 15 mins to play the Cofis should have finished comfortably but with the Cofis penalised with 2 yellow cards for infringing in the loose, the home side were determined to not make things easy and scored 2 tries the first from Aaron Jeffreys and another from Richard Foulkes , which Rhys Hughes converted to make the score 22-28 and a tense last few minutes for the Cofis.
