CAERNARFON
68 Llanidloes 5
TOP against bottom
ended predictably as Llanidloes were swallowed under an avalanche
of tries against unbeaten leaders Caernarfon.
No8 Rhys Evans crossed for a hat-trick of tries as Caernarfon
ran riot against Dave Higgs' youthful side.
Higgs said: “We
always knew it would be a difficult match because Caernarfon
have a strong front line and dynamic back row.
“Despite the
defeat we will find some positives and recharge the batteries
during the forthcoming break.”
Scrum-half Tristan
Gwilym also crossed for two tries, while second row Mark Vaughn
and wing Llion Williams shared four tries for Caernarfon.
Further tries from
flanker Dewi Williams and outside-half Kelvin Roberts were supplemented
with a penalty try.
Roberts completed
the rout with four conversions, while fly-half Huw Owen scored
a late consolation try for the outclassed visitors.
